Seided LLC (“we”, “us”) operates Seided. We help landscape and hardscape contractors follow up on quotes their customers have not yet accepted. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and what control you have over it.

Two kinds of people are described here

  • Contractors — the businesses that subscribe to Seided and connect their own systems to it.
  • Homeowners — the contractor’s customers, whose details reach us through the contractor. We process their information on the contractor’s behalf and at the contractor’s direction. The contractor remains responsible for the relationship with them.

What we collect

From contractors

  • Business name, address, and the legal details required to register message sending in their name.
  • Names, email addresses and phone numbers of the people who use the product.
  • Billing information, handled by our payment processor. We do not store card numbers.
  • Usage records: what was approved, sent, changed, and by whom.

From connected systems, at the contractor’s instruction

When a contractor sends us an export from a system such as Jobber, or connects one, they choose what we receive. We ask for the minimum needed to do the job, which is typically:

  • Quotes and estimates — amounts, descriptions, dates, and status.
  • Clients — name, email address, phone number.
  • Properties — service address.
  • Jobs — completed work, so we can suggest related work later.

A contractor may disconnect at any time from their own system or from within Seided. We stop retrieving data immediately when they do.

Photographs

Contractors upload photographs of properties they have quoted — usually taken by their own staff during a site visit. We use these to produce a visualization of the proposed work on that property. We do not obtain photographs by any other means, and we never publish them.

Messages and consent

We record every message sent or received through the product, together with the consent record that permitted it: when it was given, how, and the exact wording the person agreed to. We keep this because messaging rules require it and because it protects both the contractor and the recipient.

What we do with it

  • Send follow-up messages on the contractor’s behalf, to people who have consented to receive them.
  • Produce visualizations of proposed work on the customer’s own property.
  • Report to the contractor which work was recovered, and what it was worth.
  • Operate, secure and support the service.
  • Meet our legal obligations, including messaging and record-keeping rules.

What we will never do

  • We do not sell personal information. Not to anyone, in any form.
  • We do not market to a contractor’s customers on our own behalf, and we never share one contractor’s customer list with another contractor.
  • We do not use one contractor’s identifiable data — their pricing, margins, customers, or photographs — in any feature shown to another contractor.
  • We do not use homeowner photographs for advertising or public display.

Artificial intelligence

We use AI services to generate property visualizations. Data sent to those services is limited to what is needed for the task.

Visualizations are clearly marked as artist’s renderings rather than construction documents, and a person at the contracting company, or someone they have authorized in writing, must approve every image before any customer sees it.

Who else handles the data

We use a small number of service providers to run Seided. Each receives the data under that provider’s own terms:

  • Cloud hosting and database providers.
  • Message delivery providers for text messages and email.
  • AI providers for image generation.
  • A payment processor for contractor billing.

A current list is available on request at privacy@seided.com.

How long we keep it

  • While the contractor is a customer: for as long as it is useful to them.
  • After a contractor leaves: we delete their data within 30 days of a written request, and within 12 months otherwise. In practice the deletion runs about a week after it is asked for; until then the contractor can stop it and can still download everything, and nothing is sent on their behalf in the meantime.
  • What survives, and why: counts, amounts, and months — how many jobs came back and what they were worth — with nothing in them that identifies a person or a property; that is how we know whether our own product works. The company name and the dates it was with us stay, so a kept record can be tied to a real account.
  • One thing we keep on purpose: a one-way fingerprint of anyone who asked never to be contacted, so that request is honored for ever — even after everything else about them is gone, and even if their number is imported again by someone else. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into a name or a number.
  • What we cannot reach: a message already sent is outside our control. Our messaging provider states it may hold a sent picture for up to 13 months, an email provider may keep its own copy, and a picture already on somebody’s phone belongs to them. We delete what we hold and what we can reach, and we will not pretend to more.
  • Consent and message records are kept longer where messaging law requires us to be able to demonstrate that a message was permitted.

Your choices

If you are a homeowner

  • Reply STOP to any text message and we stop immediately and permanently.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Ask us, or the contractor, for a copy of your information or for it to be deleted. If you contact us directly we will pass the request to the contractor, since it is their customer relationship, and act on it ourselves.

If you are a contractor

  • Export your data at any time — customers, properties, estimates, outcomes, and photographs.
  • Disconnect any connected system at any time.
  • Ask us to delete your account and its contents.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service, and access is logged. Every action taken in the product is recorded with who did it and when.

Where data is held

Data is stored on servers in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information is transferred and stored there.

Children

Seided is a tool for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle information, we will notify contractors before the change takes effect.
